Well here we are in SA at last, in Meningie overlooking the lovely Lake Albert which is part of the massive Lake Alexandrina. We have had a fantastic trip around the Victorian coast. We stayed a week at Barwon Heads, then a few hiccups with the van, so back to Wang for some repairs. After that we stayed at Echuca, Maryborough, Ballarat (more repairs on the loo) Colac and Queenscliffe (whilst even more repairs on the loo) then we were off to Warrnambool for 3 weeks. It was great to be able to spend some time with Geoff's 2 sisters there. We experienced some incredible weather conditions there, obviously the wind being one of them and one day the waves at the breakwater were about 10mtrs high. Also lots of whales to spot at Logans Beach. On to Portland for 3 nights and enjoyed a day of visiting their gorgeous old buildings and getting lots of photos. And had a lovely lunch with nephew Dale and Donna . Mount Gambier was next and we did all the usual touristy things - Blue Lake, caves and sinkholes once again lots of photos to take. We had a very relaxing week at Robe in their lovely heritage park by the lake. It was only 10 minutes walk to the patchwork shop - so the money I saved on petrol I could spend on material !! I put together one quilt whilst there a UFO from about 2 years ago, and started another, putting together all the lovely blocks from the Inner Wheel ladies (will send photos when finished). We are now in Meningie and were to go to Victor Harbour today but the weather conditions have prevented us from that - strong winds and rain. Whilst in Adelaide we hope to spend time with Trevor and Geoff has 2 Aunts and cousins here to visit also, before we know it it will be Christmas (in Melb for us) then over to Tas for a few months (until it is too cold).

  1. I feel exhausted just reading of all the places you've been and things you've done, so I think I need a holiday......can I come with you?...lol.

Photos, of course, will make this travelogue perfect and I'm sure you're working on those!!!

Congrats on getting your blog up and running. Looking forward to hearing lot more adventures....like where one can find all the good patchwork shops, coffee shops, bakers, garden centres, book shops, coastal views, leisurely walks, photo stops, and everything else that makes up an exciting, yet relaxing, trip like this.

    Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
